Organises materials and resources against general maintenance requirements and executes repairs and renovations related to Building Maintenance activities.
Key Responsibility Areas
Analyses job cards/work schedules, determines material requirements for specific repairs and communicates with the immediate superior with the view to establishing alternatives or prioritising specific repairs.
Establishes the adequacy and availability of personnel, resources, materials, and equipment against agreed outcomes and motivates to the immediate superior for additional resources.
Monitors and corrects deviations from safety procedures during the loading sequence prior to departure to the site.
Provides on the job training for new recruits to the Branch.
Completes requisitions, leave forms, vehicle log sheets and field inspection schedule and forwards to the immediate superior for approval.
Attends to organization/arrangement of material and personnel, site, and site clearing/restoring requirements on completion.
Renovates defined areas of interior/exterior building plastered/painted, paved, or tiled surfaces.
Performs specific repair applications to defective building fixtures and fittings.

Studying towards a trade certificate.
