What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:





Matric. Experience in the hospitality industry. 1 year experience as a Cafeteria/ Tuck shop Assistant.

The responsibilities are:

Preparation of food and Sales

Prepare and sell food and related products to Learners, parents and Teachers as and when required. Assist in the preparation of cooked / warm foods if required. Ensure sales are done correctly and money is collected correctly in accordance with the applicable / correct pricing. Assist the Cafeteria Supervisor by giving input on product sales. Ensure money or change for items are given correctly. Handle any monies received with due care and correctly. Act as an ambassador when dealing with learners, staff or the public. Assist in any reasonable way possible when required for special events. Assist Cook / Chef / Cafeteria Supervisor in the preparation of foods when required.

Cleaning, Health and Safety and Related matters

Always ensure workspaces are kept clean. Where appropriate attire related to dealing with food or food products. Actively assist in the cleaning of equipment, the cafeteria / tuck-shop. Support the Cafeteria Supervisor with any ad-hoc Health and Safety and Hygienic requirements and always adhere to such requirements.
