Job Summary
Purpose of the Role
The Junior CAD Specialist will assist in the creation, modification, and preparation of detailed 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings used for product development and manufacturing. You will play a key role in ensuring design intent is accurately communicated through production-ready files, contributing to the development of our unique, high-end products.
Key Responsibilities
3D CAD Modelling & Drafting

• Create accurate 3D CAD models of new and existing products in line with design briefs
• Generate precise 2D technical drawings for prototyping and manufacturing
• Assist with digital sculpting or surface modelling for organic and artistic product shapes

Design Support

• Work closely with industrial designers, product developers, and engineers to translate concepts into manufacturable designs
• Modify existing CAD files as required for design iterations or production changes
• Assist in the preparation of assembly drawings, exploded views, and file conversions for various production methods (e.g., casting, CNC, 3D printing)

Quality & Documentation

• Ensure all CAD outputs meet internal quality and detail standards
• Maintain organised digital file structures and version control
• Assist in updating the design database and technical specifications

Requirements

• Tertiary qualificationin CAD Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field
• 1-3 years of experiencein a CAD or technical design environment
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, or similar)
• Basic knowledge of 2D drafting standards and manufacturing processes
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to interpret and work from design sketches or industrial design concepts
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Interest in product design, materials (metal, ceramics, resin), and functional art is a plus
