Buyer Supply Chain Management (one (1) Year Six (6) Months Fixed Term Contract)

Job Description
- Procurement of goods and services in line with the National Treasury Act, ARC policies and procedures.
- Invitation of quotations, processing of purchase orders and follow up on outstanding transactions
- Expediting purchase orders, assisting with the international and contract procurement.
- Provide advice on the procurement of goods and or services including sourcing methods
- Handling of internal and or external enquiries
- Compile and submit reports as required.
- Financial and general administration.
- Render assistance within the stores when required.
- National Diploma in Supply Chain Management (SCM) specifically in Sourcing, Supply Management or Purchasing Management
- Bachelor's Degree will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in public sector procurement with knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain Management Policies and Procedures
- Registration with Association of Accounting Technicians will be an added advantage, Knowledge. experience and understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), related policies and regulations.
- Demonstrate understanding of communication between end users, SCM, Finance and service providers and importance of providing feedback on progress.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Good analytical skills, report writing and organisational skills.
- Valid driver's Licence.
