Job Description
RPO's client is actively seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of South Africa's leading fashion retail environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about fashion, has strong technical merchandising skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, trend-driven business. This is a full-time, onsite position.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret local and international fashion trends and translate them into commercially successful product ranges.
- Conceptualise and deliver ranges with a clear understanding of colour, fabric, fit, and silhouette.
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, pricing, and timeous delivery.
- Work closely with planning and design teams to execute the seasonal merchandise strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the successful execution of ranges in-store.
- Continuously monitor sales, react to market demands, and adjust the product offering as needed.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in retail or clothing manufacturing as a Buyer, ideally in Ladieswear, Menswear, Kidswear, Accessories, or Footwear.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in fashion, textiles, design, or business.
- Exceptional technical merchandising ability.
- Proven success in interpreting trends and conceptualising product assortments.
- Energetic, innovative, and driven by a passion for product and fashion.
