Job Description

To assist in the fulfillment of the Procurement function at CPUT in line with the Procurement policy and relevant supply chain management, legislation, and regulations. To ensure value for money is achieved on all purchased activities (goods or services) by maximizing the buying power. The position is that of a Buyer to procure goods and services for the institution's servicing departments.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • A relevant National Diploma or a Degree 3-year qualification) in Procurement/Logistics/Supply Chain management.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in a procurement environment
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Computer literacy
Recommendations:
  • Experience in a higher education environment
  • Additional short courses in supply chain and procurement will be an added advantage
