Job Description
Effectively conduct procurement activities (such as requests for quotes, proposals, or supplier negotiations) to secure supply in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
Ensure that conducting procurement activities is executed at the lowest total cost and minimal or no risk to the business.
Manage a portfolio of spend commodities assigned to you.
Become a Purchasing representative of a number of departments within the organisation.
Create and process orders on the Maximo system, based on purchase requisitions received from the business.
Create and release monthly-contracted-services orders.
Ensure best value for money is obtained in conjunction with the achievement of BBBEE objectives.
A bachelor's degree in Purchasing / Supply Chain / Commerce is highly recommended.
At least one year of procurement experience.
Experience with issuing and evaluating tender enquiries, fact-based negotiations, and analytical capabilities would be an advantage.
Computer literate with knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products and purchase-to-pay transactions system.
* ERP Knowledge and experience with the Maximo system would be an added advantage.
