Job Description

Our Client, a market leader in the Automotive Manufacturing Industry; is seeking to employ an experienced Buyer, to their dynamic team based in Uitenhage, Eastern Cape.
3-5 years' general procurement experience (non-production buying) within the automotive or related industry secures!
Requirements:

National Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Logistics, Commerce, Finance, Business Management, or Public Management.
3-5 years' general procurement experience (non-production buying) within the automotive or related industry.
Computer literacy, including SAP and MS Office.
A valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:
Perform technical work to ensure commercially and legally correct orders/contracts are placed.
Ensure goods and services are purchased on time, economically, and at required quality standards to maintain uninterrupted supply to production.
Apply financial, accounting, and economic knowledge to evaluate pricing.
Conduct benchmarking, global competitive sourcing, and supplier negotiations.
Evaluate suppliers and negotiate prices, terms, service delivery, and quality while maintaining regulatory and quality standards.
Achieve monthly and year-on-year cost savings.
Prepare RFQs, purchase orders, and contract documentation.
Maintain the current supplier base and establish new suppliers to optimize cost and service through benchmarking and market research.
Adjudicate tenders based on procedural requirements to ensure competitive and fair supplier selection.
