We seek to employ a

Buyer - Local at our Johannesburg Branch.

You will be responsible for

Sourcing, Negotiating and Procuring

the goods and services from local suppliers to support operational needs. This role involves

close collaboration

with internal departments,

maintaining supplier relationships

, ensuring t

imely deliveries

and optimising

cost efficiency

and

quality in supply chain

.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric Relevant

3 year National Diploma or Degree

in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related commercial field.

3-5 years experience

in local procurement, supplier management or purchasing within a technical, engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of procurement processes, local supplier networks and sourcing strategies within the technical or industrial environments. Excellent communication & negotiation skills MS Office
Responsibilities defined but not limited to:

Sourcing

goods/services and obtain quotations. Executing approved

requisitions

and

placing of orders

. Checking

Order Confirmations

and Updating

Due Dates

and

Delivery Dates

.

Identify cost saving opportunities

and taking advantage thereof

Expediting

open orders and outstanding supplier queries eg. short deliveries, return to suppliers. Assist with annual

stock take

preparations and take part in annual stock count. Assist in r

esolving creditor queries

and

financial year end

requirements. Provide

training and assistance

to internal and external customers as and when required. Ensure

compliance

to ISO and health and safety requirements. Perform any reasonable and lawful duties as required by management from time to time.
