• Processing and placement of purchase orders with suppliers

• Maintain supplier master data

• Collaborate with other departments and assist where documents are required on goods delivered/ordered

• Evaluate, monitor and report on supplier performance by recording and measuring incoming material and quality, on time deliveries and service delivery

• Confirm commercial sustainability of vendors/suppliers by vetting and negotiating prices

• Assist Business Unit @ Product Managers on their demand planning needs to determine optimal inventory ordering requirements, in line with company inventory policy and objectives

• Carrying out or regular stock takes and reviews of slow mobbing stocks/spares

• Where necessary, facilitate the recommendations and approvals for new or alternate sources of supply

• Resolve accounts payable queries for supplier invoices

• Raise non-conformances, report and follow-up with supplierxe2x80x99s / service providers

• Assist with on-boarding of new supplierxe2x80x99s / service providers

• Drive B-BBEE strategies in line with Business Goals

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric / Grade 12

• Qualification in purchasing or supply chain

• Minimum 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in purchasing

• Sap Experience essential

• Comprehensive knowledge of buying

• Good technical knowledge, follow ups, quality orientated, has planning and organizing skills

• Proficient computer skills in MS Word and Excel
