RPO's client is actively seeking an experienced Buyer to join their dynamic team based in Midrand, Gauteng. This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement professional to play a key role in supply chain operations for a reputable company.This is a full-time, onsite position.
Job Title: Buyer
Location: Midrand, Gauteng
Reporting to: Head of Supply Chain
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing goods, maintaining adequate stock levels, and creating purchase orders. This role requires strong internal and external stakeholder relationship management, procurement data maintenance, and pricing control. The Buyer will collaborate across departments and suppliers to make strategic purchasing decisions.
Responsibilities:

• Daily processing of orders and management of relevant ordering systems
• Oversee procurement and warehouse procedures
• Manage POs, expedite orders, track deliveries, and update stakeholders on shipping status
• Resolve PO to invoice discrepancies, returns, and supplier quality issues
• Maintain and develop strong supplier and departmental relationships
• Manage buy-outs and stock fulfilment within agreed SLAs
• Assist with stock risk management and performance reporting
• Maintain accurate procurement master data and pricing (incl. promotional)
• Ensure website content aligns with pricing, master data, and product images
• Participate in procurement projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor stock levels and product range

Requirements:

• Matric (essential)
• Degree or Diploma in Procurement/Supply Chain Management (advantageous)
• 3+ years of procurement experience
• Valid Code EC Driver's License
• Working knowledge of ERP systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Fluent in English
• Willingness to work long hours and after hours (own transport required)
