REPORTING TO: Finance Manager MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Source and procure all requirements according to specifications and comply with the number of quotations required as per the chart of authority Expedite outstanding items on a weekly basis or as may be required by the end user. Supplier files to be maintained with price increase letters and justifications for price increases. Understand price escalation formulaxe2x80x99s and cost drivers of various items Obtain freight quotes for imported items and co-ordinate deliveries through clearing and forwarding agents. All claims against suppliers to be raised through procurement and followed-up until closed out. Ensure that All work instructions are up to date or amended as may be required for ISO. All new supplier requests will be completed by the buyer, the buyer will ensure that all the relevant documents are attached when sent to finance to load onto Abaca. Ensure suppliers submit their BBBEE certificates and OHSAct documents. Negotiate improved payment terms Record savings on a monthly basis KEY COMPETENCIES / SKILLS Root cause analysis and troubleshooting Strong planning skills and exceeds in executing the plan. Strong decision xe2x80x93 making skills Strong planning skills and exceeds in executing the plan. Negotiation skills REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Matric Purchasing diploma 2 years Procurement experience within a manufacturing environment Computer literate Job Type: Full-time
