Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Butchery General Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the butchery department with product preparation, packing, merchandising, hygiene standards, and customer service to ensure an excellent shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
? Assist butchers with preparation, cutting, and packing of meat products.
? Ensure correct weighing, pricing, and display of products according to company standards.
? Rotate stock and maintain high standards of freshness and presentation.
? Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the butchery department in line with food safety regulations.
? Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers where required.
? Comply with all operational, health, and safety guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
? Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
? Previous experience in a butchery/retail meat environment will be an advantage.
? Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
? Good communication and customer service skills.
? Must be reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
