Our client is a ship supplier company, with core business in Africa. Since 1959, they have been developing the African network with our subsidiaries (Gabon, Congo, Angola, South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia) and our partners. Their teams can achieve all requests for vessels operating in the area, with reactivity and reliability.

Requirements

• Tertiary education
• Demonstrated experience (5 years+) in supply chain management
• Experience in export, shipping, vessel management/operation a plus
• Preferably food industry background
• Ability to establish and manage processes
• Communicate well on all levels
• Solution provider and resourceful

• Ensure positive clients relationship, entertaining all clients requests, issues arising from operation.
• Supply chain coordination, local and international procurement with Group entities and third parties.
• Ensure complete and on time order deliveries.
• Establish and implement logistics planification.
• Ensure the compliance of all statutory obligations.
• Responsible for the overall BU profitability across the various activities including: Budget control, P&L monitoring
• Assist with necessary recruitment to ensure optimal and profitable service delivery.
• Participate in regular personal evaluations, KPI appraisals.
• With OM, Manage absenteeism, poor performance and any HR related issues.
• Stay within the South African legislation.
• Implementation of group processes, strict daily, weekly, monthly inventory management.
• Review Implementation of supply options (local; international procurement) and optimal stock holding requirements.
• Define and implement optimal warehouse management and organisation.
• Ensure cold chain is preserved and adherence to food health regulations and international best practices.
• Commercial Development.
• Promotion of all the product ranges.
• Commercial follow up to develop sales.
• Planification with our clients Team of commercial actions and reporting on results.
