Job Description


Minimum requirement:

  • Matric with mathematics.
  • An appropriate and suitable tertiary qualification in management, engineering, or finance would be an advantage.
  • Domain knowledge and experience in telecommunications. (ICT)
  • OHS legislation and regulations as applicable and Quality (ISO 9000:2015).
  • Advanced user of MS Office and Google Suite.
  • Operational planning and scheduling.
  • Knowledge and experience of the Syspro MRP or similar systems.
Responsibilities:
Business Development
  • Developing and maintaining the value proposition of the Line of Business in Data Infrastructure.
  • Define and develop the target market for the Line of Business.
  • Articulate the value proposition to the target market in collaboration with the rest of the management team and marketing resources.
  • Ensure constant and targeted communication to the target market, including using social media, direct marketing, face-to-face meetings, and other means.
Vendor management
  • Responsible for strategic vendor relationships, including sourcing appropriate suppliers in line with the Line of Business strategy, and maintaining relationships with key vendors.
  • Manage training and knowledge sharing with staff and customers where required.
  • Ensure solid commercial arrangements and a competitive pricing policy.
  • Plan and manage strategic sourcing and inventory planning.
Sales
  • Ensure a healthy pipeline is developed using sound sales practices, including key account management principles.
  • Ensure order receipts are processed, managed, and executed in line with customer expectations.
  • Ensure healthy margins are maintained and the value proposition is continuously updated and developed as the market conditions and technology offerings dictate.
Execution
  • Ensure the sourcing strategy is managed in collaboration with the procurement staff.
  • Ensure that subcontractors and internal technical staff are appointed, trained and project execution managed based on sound project management principles.
  • Manage project revenue and revenue recognition in accordance with companies guidelines.
Staff management
  • Staff selection and appointment.
  • Performance management.
  • Contracting when required.
  • Motivation, communication, and culture management.
Financial Management
  • Budgeting.
  • Income statement, including sales, gross margin and net contribution.
  • Cash flow planning.
Salary dependent on experience.
