BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST: STRATEGIC PROJECTS - Epping, Cape Town

R30 000 - R35 000 Per Month Negotiable on Qualification and Experience

Global Innovative Leading Butchery Supplier is looking to recruit a Business Systems Analyst within recruiting within their dynamic CRM Team.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To assist with the design/customisation, rollout, documentation, maintenance, support, improvement and decommissioning of systems throughout the business.

One would be working with a diverse range of people across business functions requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to translate people, process and system needs across all levels of the business is vital.

The role will include: Process analysis, design, documentation, and review; User support through requirements gathering, change management efforts during rollouts, training, SOP development and assisting helpdesk where necessary; working closely with developers to inform system design and build.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of systems for which responsible and have a working knowledge of how all other systems work.
  • Understand supporting systems and their technical requirements and constraints as well as understanding business processes and their operational and business focussed goals and constraints.
  • Understand the wholistic business systems environment and how individual systems interact/ integrate/ impact on one another.
  • Advise on areas for improvement.
  • Review and document business and system processes, and update on a cyclical basis.
  • Advise, assist and/ or take the lead in new system implementations.
  • Support the projects team to deliver effective and practical solutions and systems, while helping fellow business units understand, adopt, effectively use, and benefit from new rollouts.
Existing Systems:
  • Examine and evaluate the current systems environment identifying issues or areas for improvement.
  • Continuously assess the state of systems for which responsible by setting up automated health KPI's/ reports and liaising closely with users to identify areas for improvement and issues/ bugs. Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure that solutions are practical, viable, consistent, and sustainable.
  • Asses the severity/ impact of the issue/ bug or area for improvement and prioritise responses. Work closely with developers/ vendors to design solutions for new builds and issues/ bugs and test the solutions thoroughly before go-live.
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure necessary backups and resources are planned for and available and that no risk is posed to the greater infrastructure environment.
  • Provide on-site training and documented SOPs to users before go-live, and active on-site support both during and after go-live is complete. Given the nature of factory production, responses to go-live issues
New Systems:
  • Drive requirements gathering sessions with all relevant stakeholders to ascertain core business needs and document findings.
  • Research available off the shelf system solutions and through a process of benchmarking, fit for purpose and cost analysis, advise on the best option for the Business
  • Investigate the merit in developing an in-house solution as an alternative and advise accordingly. Assist vendors/ developers with customisation and design and provide input into the development and installation of the solution.
  • For small scale projects drive design and implementation of the solution.
  • Complete and document an impact assessment on the greater systems environment and document all interactions/ integrations with other business systems. Collaborate with fellow internal and external system specialists/ vendors to ensure alignment and mitigate unforeseen negative impacts on other systems.
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure required resources are in place and that risk to greater infrastructure environment is mitigated.
  • Drive the implementation of the system along with required change management initiatives and carefully planned on-site training. Prepare supporting documentation (SOPs, system documentation, business process maps etc.) in time for go-live.
  • Manage updates or modification requirements and provide continuous support for the solution by assisting helpdesk with technical tickets. Address underlying bugs/ issues as noted above.
  • When necessary, oversee the decommission of existing applications software.
Qualification, Skills and Experience required:
  • Relevant B. Com Degree in (Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant field)
  • 2 - 3 Years' experience as a Business System Analyst in one or more of the following areas: Information Systems/ Warehousing Management Systems/ Enterprise Resource Planning.
Experience in a wholesale/factory environment is advantageous
