Job Description

BerryWorld South Africa is seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to support system enhancements, optimise business processes, and ensure effective coordination among business teams, IT, and external software vendors. The role is central to managing technology demand, documenting requirements, and overseeing the delivery of system improvements that enable operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and prioritise system and software enhancement requests. Conduct business analysis and translate needs into functional and technical specifications. Manage small system changes as mini projects, including testing and deployment coordination. Provide 2nd-line systems support and troubleshoot application, data, and performance issues. Conduct data validation and analysis using SQL or BI tools. Support integration between operational systems and reporting/analytics platforms. Facilitate communication, handovers, and documentation across business and technical teams.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Honours advantageous). 5+ years' experience in business or systems analysis. Experience managing software enhancements or small projects (3-5 years). Strong SQL/data analysis background and experience with BI tools. Experience writing functional and technical specifications. Exposure to operational systems (ERP, CRM, or bespoke solutions). Experience in the fruit export industry (advantageous).
