Purpose of the Role:
To ensures that business processes align with technology solutions that meet Eduvos' operational, regulatory, and commercial needs.
The role combines business analysis and technical system design to ensure applications, integrations, and workflows are effectively delivered and optimised. The analyst works with stakeholders, developers, architects, and vendors to translate requirements into clear specifications, improve processes, support enhancements, and deliver solutions that drive efficiency and growth.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent NQF-7 qualification (Advanced Diploma or Bachelor of Technology) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Highly Desirable:
  • Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, or Agile/Scrum certifications.
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in collections, credit management, or debt recovery environments
  • Proven experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role with a strong collections focus
  • Proven experience working across both business and IT teams.
  • Demonstrated experience working on finance system enhancements, transformations, or in-house builds
  • Experience with large-scale system implementations or enterprise digital projects.
  • Experience supporting UAT, deployments, and postimplementation operations.
  • Strong ability to translate complex collections and finance requirements into system documentation
Duties and Responsibilities
Collections Strategy & Business Analysis
  • Analyse current collections processes, systems, and performance metrics to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to define future-state collections capabilities aligned to the student lifecycle and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage stakeholders through workshops, interviews, and process reviews to gather and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Document requirements, analyse current workflows, and define improved, future-state processes.
Systems Analysis & Technical Design
  • Translate business, finance, and collections requirements into detailed technical specifications for developers and vendors.
  • Evaluate system capabilities, constraints, and integration needs to recommend feasible, scalable solutions.
  • Develop process maps, user journeys, data models, business rules, and solution designs.
  • Assist in designing data flows, integration points, and system architecture components, including system configuration where applicable.
Solution Build, Testing & Deployment
  • Support mobilisation of in-house build initiatives, including scoping, prioritisation, and delivery planning.
  • Work closely with engineering teams during design, build, testing, and rollout phases.
  • Define acceptance criteria, develop test cases and UAT scripts, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing.
  • Validate solution readiness and assist with deployment planning, release notes, and go-live support to ensure solutions are compliant and fit for purpose.
Operational Support, Optimisation & Governance
  • Troubleshoot system and process issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and support enhancement requests.
  • Maintain documentation on workflows, configurations, system features, and integrations.
  • Monitor system performance, data integrity, and integration health to ensure ongoing operational stability.
  • Continuously identify optimisation and automation opportunities across collections and finance-related workflows.
Stakeholder & Project Collaboration
  • Act as a liaison between Finance, Technology, Product, and Delivery teams, ensuring alignment between strategy and operational delivery.
  • Engage senior stakeholders, support executive or board-level reporting, and provide insights based on data and system usage trends.
  • Contribute to project plans, timelines, and Agile/Waterfall delivery activities.
  • Support change management, training, and adoption of new processes, systems, and features.

  • Basic to intermediate SQL or data query capabilities (advantageous).
