Job Description


Minimum requirements:

  • FETC in Short Term Insurance NQF 4
  • Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance NQF 5
  • RE 5
  • Degree - B Comm (Adv)
  • 5+ years experience in Leading a Team of Underwriters and other Financial employees
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivate team members.
  • Deliver projects on schedule.
  • Ability to resolve conflict and work well with others across the business.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Must have and display business acumen that drives decision making and delivers on business objectives.
  • Must have a strong financial understanding to enable projects to run on budget.
  • Must have strong planning and organisational skills.
  • The ability to identify and manage business and project risks.
  • Must be able to design a business solution to address business problems and issues.
  • Must understand the impact on operations and the customer.
  • Must have a strong understanding of technology and solutions that it can provide.
  • Must be able to document and store critical business documents.
  • Must be able to assist with the definition of test cases as well as managing the testing process and outcomes.
  • Must deliver a return on investment on all initiatives.
  • Must lead and manage direct reports as well as within project parameters.
  • Must be trustworthy and operate with integrity.
  • Must balance the needs of all stakeholders.
