Job Description


What will you do?

To ensure effective management and delivery of all business process improvement/re-engineering projects within Distribution.

What will make you successful in this role?

Service delivery

  • Ensure that all initiatives relating to the business process improvement support the strategy and business objectives of the Distribution division, and the business.
  • Ensure that Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions are conducted with internal and external stakeholders to determine business and process requirements.
  • Ensure that AS-IS business processes are clearly defined and documented.
  • Ensure that TO-BE business processes are clearly defined and documented.
  • Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures for implementation of the business processes are clearly defined and documented.
  • Ensure that the Process roadmap and backlog management processes are in place and managed.
  • Ensuring the integrated delivery of projects and initiatives on time, in scope, in budget and with minimal risks.
  • Ensure that project deliverables are met within stipulated timelines:
o Business Cases
o Business Requirements Documentation

o Sign-off on business processes
o Sign-off on Standard Operating Procedures

Operational Strategy Execution
  • Transforming the operations environment to digitise the client, intermediary and employee experience.
  • The operational strategy will place strong focus on low expense ratio that in turn will require the manager to be creative and innovative in implementing product and process changes that increase productivity and ease of use and intermediary and client experience.
  • Ensure co-ordinated and effective execution of the operational strategy via processes and procedures in the respective teams.
Business management
  • Focus on operational agility and effectiveness and monitor all business activities across the operations value chain and enable innovation and process improvements.
  • Provide Individual Life and Distribution with cost effective, efficient and easy-to-use end-to-end new business, facilities and FAIS related processes and systems that comply with legislation; enables high quality outputs; supports SLA's and provides Individual Life with a competitive advantage.
Risk and Compliance
  • Monitor compliance in terms of all statutory requirements.
  • Evaluate and effectively manage risks.
  • Ensure the achievement of financial goals, which includes Long-term profitability; Low unit cost; Client Experience Measurement; etc. amongst clients and intermediaries.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Degree/ National Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Additional Qualification: Business or Process Analysis certification will be highly advantageous
Experience and Knowledge
  • Minimum 3 years' experience
  • Proficiency in Process Modeling Tools
  • Computer literacy in MS Word and Excel is essential.
  • Experience in the Insurance industry an advantage.
  • Advanced Report writing
  • Intermediate understanding and application of Digital platforms
  • Client engagement skills (High)
