Experience: 5+ Years Proven Business Analysis and Testing Experience
Location: Onsite (Southern Suburbs, Cape Town)
Duration: 1 Year Contract
Start Date 1 January 2026

Qualifications / Experience
School Qualification:

• Matric / Grade 12

Tertiary Qualification:

• National Diploma or Degree, majoring in Information Systems
• Diploma in Business Analysis
• ISTQB Certification (Tester Foundation Level)

Statutory/Legal Requirements:

• Code B Driver's License

Minimum Experience:

• 5 years proven Business Analysis and testing experience
• Knowledge of Agile development methodology

• Evaluating, analyzing, and documenting current and future business processes
• Identifying strengths and weaknesses in operations

• Contributing to short and medium-term continuous improvement plans

Requirements Management:

• Managing and facilitating workshops and requirements gathering sessions
• Eliciting, understanding, and clearly documenting business/user problems and requirements
• Producing functional specification documentation including flowcharts, use cases, wireframes, and diagrams
• Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of various systems

Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Creating comprehensive test strategies for development projects and changes
• Developing and documenting effective test plans, scripts, and test cases
• Executing all aspects of software testing: Unit, Integration, Regression, Negative, Functional, and load/performance testing
• Identifying and documenting defects and communicating findings to stakeholders
• Managing and facilitating User Acceptance Testing sessions

Agile Methodology:

• Participating in sprint planning and backlog refinement
• Collaborating with teams to define testing strategy, scope, and approach
• Understanding of Agile ways of working

Stakeholder Management:

• Consulting with business units, team members, and project teams to attain optimal solutions
• Maintaining high levels of customer service through feedback analysis
• Providing guidance and support to business units with Business Case development

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:

• Compiling, maintaining, and updating system manuals, user guides, and FAQs
• Providing system usage and functionality hand-over to relevant system/process owners
• Producing clear, comprehensive documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences

Role Requirements
Development & Analysis Activities (45%):

• Evaluate and analyze information from multiple sources
• Document current and future business processes to determine viability
• Manage and facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions
• Translate business requirements into viable IT solutions
• Produce functional specifications with flowcharts, use cases, and wireframes
• Develop in-depth knowledge of systems supported by the team
• Consult with stakeholders to ensure solutions comply with organizational principles and standards
• Provide guidance on Business Case development
• Compile and maintain system documentation, user guides, and FAQs

Solution Testing Activities (45%):

• Participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement
• Review and understand solution requirements and success criteria
• Collaborate with team members to define testing strategies
• Create test strategies for development projects and changes
• Develop and document comprehensive test plans, scripts, and test cases
• Execute all testing phases: Unit, Integration, Regression, Negative, Functional, and load/performance
• Identify, document, and communicate defects and deficiencies
• Re-test and verify defect resolution after remediation
• Manage and facilitate User Acceptance Testing sessions

IT Support & Service Delivery (10%):

• Deliver services that meet business needs within defined Service Level and Service Availability Agreements
• Maintain high customer service standards by analyzing feedback
• Proactively adapt ICT services to meet evolving customer needs

Quality Management:

• Read and comply with all relevant Policies and Work Instructions
• Sign related Compliance Records
• Comply with all aspects of the Quality Management system

Safety, Health and Hygiene:

• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Safety Work Instructions
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment
• Participate in prevention of accidents and incidents

• Head Office, Regional Branches, Blood Banks, Blood Donation Centres, and remote sites
