Business Intelligence Developer

to join our team.

A BI Developer is responsible for reviewing business information requirements to develop and generate reports, implement automated solutions and manage business master data to drive continuous business data improvements

WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS

Data Pipeline and Infrastructure Development:

oDesign, develop, and optimize ETL processes and data pipelines to support financial analytics and reporting requirements.

oBuild and maintain data architectures, including databases and data warehouses, tailored to financial data needs.

oWork with large data sets, integrating data from various financial systems (ERP, CRM, etc.) and external sources.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

oCollaborate with finance, accounting, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure that data infrastructure aligns with business goals.

oProvide technical support to finance and analytics teams on data extraction, transformation, and modeling.

Data Quality and Governance:

oImplement data quality checks, monitoring, and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial reports.

oAssist in developing data governance standards and best practices across finance data handling.

oSupport compliance with data security standards and regulations related to financial data.

Automation and Process Optimization:

oIdentify and implement opportunities for automating repetitive data processes, optimizing storage, and improving data accessibility.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

:

oTroubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines, infrastructure, and financial data flows. oEnsure high availability and reliability of data systems used for financial operations and analytics.

THE PERSON THE ROLE NEEDS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of experience in a data environment or a related role, with a focus on financial data preferred. Proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one programming language (Python advantageous) Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions and cloud platforms Familiarity with finance and accounting principles, financial data structures, and systems (e.g., ERP, General Ledger, or CRM). Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and query optimization techniques. Experience working with BI tools
