Position Overview
Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable insights? We're seeking a Business Intelligence & Data Specialist to join a dynamic company's vibrant team. This role is within a department dedicated to Continuous Improvement through technology. You will have the opportunity to shape how the business collects, interprets, and leverages data, while also driving automation projects that make a tangible difference in efficiency and growth.
The Role
Based in Paarl, you'll be the driving force behind our data initiatives across multiple business units. Using cutting-edge Microsoft Power Platform tools, you'll ensure our operations leverage data for strategic decision-making and process optimization.
What You'll Do

• Lead Data Collection & Management by identifying, collecting, and extracting data from ERP systems, external databases, and other sources to build comprehensive datasets.
• Ensure Data Quality & Processing through cleaning, validating, and processing raw data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Develop Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting by creating and maintaining Power BI dashboards and automated reporting systems for real-time performance monitoring.
• Design Data Visualization & Insights with clear and impactful visualizations that communicate complex findings to senior management and business stakeholders.
• Drive Process Automation by building and deploying Power Apps solutions and Power Automate workflows to streamline reporting, data collection, and stakeholder communication.
• Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration by partnering with finance, commercial, and operations teams to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Statistics, Agricultural Economics with data analytics, or a related field.
• 2+ years' experience in a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or Reporting role, ideally with exposure to automation and process improvement (we will also consider new entrants to the job market).
• Experience in agriculture, exports, FMCG, or supply chain sectors is advantageous but not required.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI (data models, DAX measures, dashboards).

• Solid Structured Query Language (SQL) skills for data extraction and transformation.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and SharePoint integration.
• Commercial awareness and ability to interpret data in a business and market context.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, always looking for process improvement opportunities.
