Business / Hospitality Manager – Private Luxury Safari Reserve – Eastern Cape, South Africa
Job Description
Our client is in search of a dynamic and experienced hospitality professional to oversee and elevate operations across their exclusive portfolio of high-end safari properties. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is central to the business and will see you managing the performance of the lodge General Managers, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving the overall commercial success of the operation.
This role is ideal for a candidate - or a couple/family - seeking long-term stability in a remote but breathtakingly beautiful environment. Key responsibilities include:
Oversight of the General Managers across two luxury lodges.
Direct collaboration with the Managing Director on strategic planning and operational execution.
Financial oversight:
budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost control.Driving business growth through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.
Ensuring best-in-class hospitality standards are upheld across the properties.
Building and nurturing a strong internal culture focused on excellence, accountability, and innovation.
Minimum 10 years' senior management experience in luxury hospitality operations.
Proven financial management expertise and commercial insight.
Strong understanding of sales, marketing, and brand positioning.
Charismatic leadership style with a collaborative, people-focused approach.
A long-term mindset and desire to settle in a remote, conservation-focused environment.
Previous experience in safari lodge operations or remote high-end hospitality environments is highly advantageous.
South African citizenship or permanent residency preferred.
