Job Summary Our client is looking for two Business Development Officers (BDO) to join their team:One will focus on the Commercial Vehicle Market (Trucks and Trailers) and the other BDO will focus on the Earth Moving Equipment MarketPosition: Business Development Officer Location: Gauteng region Office location: Centurion / PretoriaCompany: Niche, boutique financial services firmResponsibilities: The Business Development Officer (BDO) will play a crucial role in the growth and expansion of our firm by developing new business opportunities and following up on leads. Reporting to the Head of New Business, the BDO will primarily focus on the Gauteng region, targeting commercial truck dealers and/or earthmoving equipment suppliers.Specific duties and responsibilities include:Developing and executing a comprehensive business development plan to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.Identifying potential clients and establishing strong relationships to gain a deep understanding of their financial needs.Conducting thorough market research to identify potential growth opportunities and areas for development.Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions using the company's CRM system.Providing exceptional customer service to existing clients in order to nurture and maintain strong relationships.Collaborating with various departments within the organization to ensure a seamless experience for clients.Requirements: The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications and skills:A commercial qualification in finance, marketing, business management, or a related field would be advantageous.Fluent in both Afrikaans and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.Strong financial acumen and an understanding of commercial finance.Previous experience of 1-2 years in the commercial finance space would be beneficial, although a passion for developing professional relationships and achieving sales targets will also be considered.Possession of a valid driver's license is required, as the role involves visiting clients.Understanding of the Commercial Vehicle Market (Trucks and Trailers) and/or the Earth Moving Equipment Market will be hily beneficial. Ideal Candidate: In addition to meeting the above requirements, the ideal candidate for this position is an ambitious individual who is at the early stages of their financial services or commercial sales career. They should be adept at engaging professionally at all levels and enjoy building commercial relationships with the ultimate goal of closing deals.Incentives: This opportunity offers a guaranteed basic salary along with on-target quarterly incentives.
