The Pebbles Kitchen Business Development Manager The Pebbles Kitchen is an award-winning social enterprise producing meals for children in education centres throughout the Cape Winelands and other regions within the Western Cape. The Pebbles Kitchen is seeking to employ a Business Development Manager, to be based in Stellenbosch, commencing on a full time 12-month contract with possible renewal based on funding. Summary of Duties: To take overall responsibility for the management of the Pebbles kitchen. To manage existing partnerships and customers and encourage networking between local suppliers. To generate new sales by increasing the number of partnerships and customers. To assist the Financial Manager with keeping track of income and expenditure. To manage the existing food donation network and to develop a wider network of essential food donor partners. To assist with the securing of additional sources of funding and income generation initiatives. To oversee the Soap for Hope recycled soap start-up project. To contribute to the monthly report to the Chief Administrative Officer and quarterly report to the board of trustees. Requirements: At least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a sales or new business role, ideally in the food industry. Relevant Tertiary Qualification. A passion and interest in the feeding & education of children. Experience of the NPO sector would be useful, but not essential. Own car with valid driverxe2x80x99s licence. Must have a clear criminal record.
