Minimum requirements
Tertiary Qualification essential (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Mining or related advantageous)
Minimum 5 years experience in a business development or similar role within mining industry
Management experience essential
Strong financial acumen essential
Strong computer skills
Excellent report writing skills
Ability to travel to various sites nationally and visit mining sites underground
Strong technical knowledge
Experience in a strategic role
Willing to travel to various sites nationally
Ability to prepare business plans and strategic plans for organization
Duties
Business Development and Key Account Management with mining industry
Direct investigations into causes of customer complaints and recommend solutions to correct them with strong emphasis on after sales service
Provide input to wider organizational strategy, policy and decision making
Provide input for all strategic and annual planning processes
Develop, establish, and direct the execution of the divisional strategy
Constant monitoring of competitor and market developments in industry both locally and abroad
Input into Strategic decision making on financial priorities, forecasts and budgetary allocations
Ensure that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with legislation
Oversee and account for strategic stock
Ensure project delivery is in accordance to stipulated time frame and budget.
Prepare and direct annual divisional budget to achieve budgeted results and other criteria, and to preserve
Participates in the development and preparation of the short-term and long term plans and budgets
Manage the approved divisional budget as per the project plans and schedules
Submit budgeting and financial monitoring and reporting report
Ensure cost reduction though optimization of people, processes and resources
