We are seeking a driven and experienced

Business Development Manager

based in Johannesburg. This pivotal role will identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, driving sustainable sales growth and building lasting client partnerships.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Drive new business and grow existing accounts to deliver consistent company growth Craft compelling offers that enhance customer value and satisfaction Manage the full sales cycle: from initial interest to estimation, sampling, approval, and order placement Prepare and deliver high-impact, client-specific presentations Strategize daily and weekly with the team to ensure seamless collaboration and results Negotiate large-scale deals and contracts with confidence Consistently achieve individual sales targets and contribute to team goals Maintain accurate and timely deal records for smooth handover to internal teams Stay ahead of lighting trends and continuously expand product knowledge Deliver high-quality work while meeting deadlines and maintaining company standards Uphold company policies, procedures, and code of conduct Take on additional tasks as assigned to support business success

Qualifications, Competencies and Attributes

Proven sales experience (lighting/manufacturing experience advantageous) Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (advantageous) Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills Computer literate with excellent time and task management Detail-oriented, analytical, and results driven
