A reputable company that specialises in funding for the Agricultural / Farming sector has a vacancy for a strong Business Development Manager. This position is based in Gauteng.

The Business Development Manager will coordinate and represent the fund in various forums including government ministries, media, academia, and the private sector.

Responsibilities:

• End to end pipeline management.
• Establish business development needs for existing and new farmer groups.
• Provide strategic leadership to all agri-business and enterprise development programmes.
• Manage the fundxe2x80x99s loan book and budget and provide financial reporting on all agricultural and enterprise programs.
• Develop and manage agreements with selected processors and financial institutions in support of emerging farming groupsxe2x80x99 business development.
• Increase private sector investment into the agri-business sector.
• Pursue a commitment to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the organization, including partnership building.
• Develop, establish, and maintain strong working relationships with key industry actors, donors, policy makers and other stakeholders.
• Conflict Management, Influencing & Impact (incl. Negotiation), Presentation and Facilitation, Verbal and Written Communication, Persuasiveness / Selling Skills.

Qualifications:

• 6 years or more experience in any combination of the following fields:

• Business and agricultural finance experience
• Development finance and capital raising
• Knowledge of Agriculture value chain
• Proven track record in deal making and ability to build strong relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in relevant field
