Job Description


MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The incumbent will develop and oversee commercial relationships with new and existing customers, demonstrating company values and strategy. Grow revenue streams with specific OEMs and Key accounts (Auto/ High & Heavy) through regular client interaction. Manage all aspects of contracts and tenders, including pricing, proposals, and cost competitiveness. Commercialize digital services and support sustainability initiatives. Lead and/or support strategic projects within the global customer growth team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Essential Duties and Responsibility:

Business Development

  • Generate new business and revenue across defined customers and cargo segment.
  • Manage and support assigned accounts, including contract renewals, new business opportunities and customer strategy.
  • Grow existing customer portfolio.
  • Develop and grow the company's product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with teams across the business to create new markets and services.
Commercial:
  • Manage and Responsible for the entire RFQ/ tender process for assigned customers.
  • Manage service pricing and annual rate reviews.
  • Product development activities for all customers inclusive of quote.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of the new business opportunities.
Digitisation:
  • Support digitisation efforts with a focus on commercial advantages the company
  • Drive technological improvements within departments and sell new solutions to customers.
  • Commercialise digital services within new and existing customers.
Sustainability:
  • Support sustainability efforts within the company
  • Create a point of difference in service offering using sustainability initiatives.
  • Commercialise low/zero emission offerings.
Customer Relations:
  • Serve as commercial / key account representative for assigned customer
  • Act as escalation point for customer concerns.
  • Be responsible for commercial aspects of assigned accounts.
  • Ensure contractual alignment with company strategy, QMS, and BBBEE objectives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Preferably a degree or diploma in Business Management/ Sales/ Commercial or related field
  • 3-5 Years of Experience in a similar role preferably within automotive / HH Sector (Logistics/ shipping/ transportation)
