Since their inception, they have enabled digital inclusion for over 5.5 million beneficiaries worldwide.
In 2023, they launched operations in South Africa to scale their IT reimplementation model that is economically empowering, environmentally sustainable, and socially inclusive.
Role Overview:
They are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Business Development Lead to drive the strategic growth of their IT refurbishment and reimplementation program in South Africa. This freelance role (of 20 hours per week) focuses heavily on identifying, cultivating, and securing IT hardware donations from corporates and public institutions within South Africa.
The ideal candidate will bring strong networks and a proven track record in business development within the development, NGO, or social enterprise sectors, with a passion for sustainability, digital inclusion, and circular technology
Key responsibilities:

• Identify and engage corporates and public institutions for used IT equipment donations.
• Develop and implement strategies for outreach, onboarding, and relationship management with IT donors.
• Craft compelling value propositions and partnership proposals aligned with Environmental Social Governance (ESG), Corporate Social Investment (CSI), and sustainability goals.
• Represent our client at industry forums, conferences, and meetings to build strategic visibility and partnerships.
• Collaborate with the South African and international teams to align growth strategies with organizational goals.
