Provides professional guidance, advice and opinions and supports processes to monitor compliance and manage dispute resolution.
Key Responsibility Areas
Applies procedures and executes actions to manage compliance and report on processes.
Prepare legal case arguments to defend Councils rights and/or seek remedy from breach of contractual obligations.
Prepares and disseminates opinion and interpretation of legal conditions and terminology contained in policy directives.
Disseminates information and advice on the application and/or impact of proposed courses of action, intention and decisions and/or defends actions in legal or conciliatory proceedings.
Co-ordinates specific administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and result indicators of the functionality.

Essential Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) in Law or any other related and equivalent qualification.
Valid motor vehicle driving license.
4 Years relevant experience.
Computer Literacy.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (NQF level 8).
Admitted Attorney.
5 Years relevant experience.
