Business Analyst (finance & Sap)
Job Description
Our client in the Banking Industry is looking for a Business Analyst with a strong background in finance and experience with SAP systems. Possibly an accountant with a passion for technology within this disciple who can lead and deliver business analysis.
Scope:
Lead business analysis for finance master data project. Must have strong finance background, ideally an accountant with SAP knowledge. Will be responsible for defining current and target state, preparing position papers, participating in governance model design, and engaging with executive stakeholders.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (CA(SA) or CIMA preferred).
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst in financial services or banking.
Solid experience working with SAP Finance modules (especially SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA).
Prior involvement in master data or data governance projects within Finance.
Demonstrated ability to engage with executive-level stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
Strong working knowledge of SAP ECC Finance (GL, AP, AR, CO) and integration points.
Exposure to SAP BW/BI or data warehousing concepts is beneficial.
Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
Data analysis skills using Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.).
Experience with or understanding of data governance, data models, and metadata management.
