Role Purpose

To conduct analysis of business needs in an agile fashion in order to provide business improvement processes and software application solutions focused on delivering business value. Gather, analyze and interpret data collaboratively from various sources within the Momentum Health Solutions space, extract insights in a clear, precise and actionable manner, using easily understandable representations of data for both technical and non-technical audiences. Together with a range of business, technical and technology stakeholders, you will help design and implement innovative solutions to meet business objectives.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Matric as a minimum
  • Relevant degree
  • Essential knowledge in terms of CMS Accreditation Standards for Administrative and Managed Care Functionalities that falls within the ambit of the Medical Schemes Act and subsequent related Regulations
EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ yearsxe2x80x99 experience as a business analyst
  • Experience and sound knowledge of Agile methodologies and continuous delivery models
  • Clinical and managed care exposure will be advantageous

Duties & Responsibilities

DEVELOP AN UNDERSTANDING OF INTERNAL ENVIRONMENT IN LINE WITH BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS

INTERNAL PROCESSES

1. Interact and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders in identifying, investigating and analysing operational problems faced by business; propose meaningful insights on possible solutions that fully address the operational business requirements needed to optimize the business
2. Keeping abreast of market changes and internal system developments ensuring that all existing processes are unpacked for enhancements and new processes align to best practices
3. Accountable for soliciting requirements an solution design through conducting requirement session (JAD), interviews and reviewing (extracting info) existing documentation
4. Collaborating with stakeholders to document business process maps, business requirement definitions and business requirements specifications and operational reporting to measure processes and outputs
5. Developing and documenting detailed functional and non-functional requirements specifications in line with standards
6. Critically evaluating business processes in order to establish time and cost parameters and make innovative recommendations that will positively impact the business
7. Investigating and analysing alternative solutions and propose the best approach to meet business needs
8. Developing solutions that encompass the entire system (people, process, content and technology)
9. Assisting in the identification of risks and issues pertaining to the implementation of the solution requirements
10. Documenting the impact and interactions of business process and requirements to support system design and development
11. Contributing to the successful implementation of projects in order to achieve the business outcome
12. Modelling that data requirements to support the new solution on a functional level
13. Designing test scenarios based on system functionality
14. Supporting integrated systems testing and review testing results
15. Participating in quality reviews and implement corrective measures to enhance the solution
16. Identifying and analysing deficiencies, loopholes, etc. in operational processes and propose a way forward to effectively deal with them
17. Investigating and proposing process optimization opportunities in the context of best practice and improved operational efficiency
18. Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with peers and organizational role players to achieve optimal cross process integration
19. Building strong relationships through providing specialist know-how and leadership to others, expressing positive experiences
20. Contributing to the development of business cases for proposal to decision-making bodies

1. Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
2. Deliver on service level agreements applicable to clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed
3. Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility
4. Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service
5. Continuously monitor turnaround times and quality standards and resolve issues speedily to enhance client service delivery
6. Drive client service delivery goal achievement in line with predefined standards in order to ensure that clients receive appropriate advise and after sales service
7. Manage client query processes and ensure that queries are tracked, accurately resolved and used as a mechanism to improve client service and business processes

1. Contribute to the development of area specific budgets to minimize expenditure, in alignment with operational plans
2. Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency
3. Implement and provide input into governance processes, systems and legislation within area of specialisation
4. Escalate unresolved policy and governance compliance issues via appropriate channels for investigation and resolution purposes
5. Provide input into the risk identification processes development and communicate recommendations in the appropriate forum
