Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Bundle Puller to join our mechanical and shutdown operations team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling tube bundles exceeding 20 tons, working safely with cranes, rigging teams, and mechanical fitters during plant maintenance, shutdowns, and turnaround projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform tube bundle pulling and installation for heat exchangers and process equipment (20+ tons).
• Work closely with rigging and crane teams to ensure safe lifting and alignment.
• Conduct visual inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues.
• Ensure all work complies with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Assist mechanical fitters during shutdown and maintenance operations.
• Maintain equipment, rigging tools, and work areas in proper condition.
• Follow all site-specific safety protocols and permit-to-work procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum 23 years of experience as a Bundle Puller or in a similar mechanical role.
• Proven ability to handle tube bundles of 20 tons or more.
• Experience working with cranes and rigging crews.
• Valid Rigging or Safety Certificate (advantageous).
• Strong understanding of plant shutdown operations and safety compliance.
• Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces or at heights.
