WATER AND SANITATION Bulk Water Scheme Manager - North Reservoirs
Requirements
B-Tech: Watercare, Civil Eng or Chemical Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years' related operations experience with at least
3 years' supervisory/management experience in operation of
water treatment infrastructure and/or associated catchment /
storage / conveyance structures and facilities.
Computer Literacy, Knowledge of SAP; PM Maintenance, Excel,
Word and associated programmes.
A valid Code B Driver's Licence & own reliable transport.
Required to work in all weather conditions, work outside
normal working hours during emergencies when applicable.
Required to be on standby when applicable.
Required to conduct physical inspection of bulk water
infrastructure, depot sites, reticulation systems, dams and
reservoir structures.
Controlling or maintaining of the Branch's IQMS/ISO program
associated to the site through the maintenance of the Safety,
Health, Risk, Environmental and Quality program.
Required to travel outside the City boundary when applicable.
The incumbent is to be physically fit, able bodied, not to be colour
blind and have no major respiratory or hearing deficiency.
Key Performance Areas
Manage the Key Performance indicators and activities associated
with the continuous operation of the depots to ensure effective
service delivery.
Plans and prioritise depot resources to effectively control depot
functions.
Managed depot performance, productivity and discipline within
the Scheme to ensure consistent reliable performance.
Plans, prioritises and schedules maintenance work.
Prepares Operational and Capital estimates and controls
expenditure against approved budget allocations.
Performs specific administration tasks/activities with the updating
and maintaining records.
