Duties & Responsibilities

INTERNAL PROCESS Implement the operational processes and policies for alignment of effective sales delivery In collaboration with the Sales Manager, develop sales targets for own portfolio Identify new sales opportunities and increase sales penetration levels Monitor, implementation of tactics to drive the generation of new business by agencies and brokers in line with the ethos of client centricity, product specification and company policy requirements Monitor sales and drive the achievement of sales targets by agencies and brokers in line with requirements and budget Monitor quality of business supplied by brokers and agencies Take corrective action to sustain policy retention and prospects for repeat business Provide day to day administrative support to brokers and agencies in the portfolio Monitor and manage commission payments to brokers and agencies Identifying opportunities for improvement or potential challenges and implement mitigating tactics Gives input on the design and development of packaging materials to enhance products Monitors and ensures compliance to product specification and standards in sales promotions and the management Handle and resolve brokers and agent queries to promote business retention CLIENT SERVICE Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders Contribute to sustaining a competitive edge through external networking and benchmarking and representation on related forums Define fair and innovative client service practices which build rewarding relationships, and facilitate sales leads and increase sales by corporate brokers and agencies Provide product and systems training to brokers and agencies Implement standards for the distribution function in order to ensure clients, brokers and agencies receive clear and accurate information and are kept informed at all times Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service Handle and resolve brokers and agent queries to promote business retention PEOPLE Participate in the creation of a positive work climate and culture to energise brokers and agencies Demonstrate exemplary leadership behaviour, through personal involvement, commitment and dedication in support of organisational values Drive a culture that guides and directs best practice, fostering an environment of continuous learning, improvement and cohesiveness Effectively manage performance of brokers and agencies to ensure business objectives are achieved FINANCE Implement and provide feedback on the effectiveness of financial policy, practice and procedures preventing illegal, unethical or improper conduct Implement risk management, governance and compliance policies in own practice area, to identify and manage governance and risk exposure liability Investigate reported wilful acts of noncompliance to organisation policy and practice and report on findings
