  • 14:00pm xe2x80x93 22:00pm
  • 22:00pm xe2x80x93 06:00am
  • Rotating between shift each 1/2 weeks
Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as a Breakdown Controller. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing breakdown incidents, related to tyre issues. The Breakdown Controller will be responsible for receiving breakdown calls, efficiently logging breakdown details, coordinating breakdown technician assignments, and overseeing the resolution of breakdown situations.

Responsibilities: * Breakdown Call Handling:
  • Receive and document breakdown calls related to truck tire issues.
  • Gather relevant information, including the location, nature of the breakdown, and any other pertinent details.
  • Logging and Documentation:
  • Log breakdown incidents accurately in the system, ensuring all essential information is recorded.
  • Maintain detailed records of breakdowns, including the date, time, location, and actions taken.
  • Technician Assignment:
  • Assess the breakdown severity and urgency.
  • Assign breakdown technicians based on location, expertise, and workload considerations.
  • Communicate effectively with breakdown technicians to ensure prompt response and resolution.
  • Communication:
  • Maintain constant communication with breakdown technicians, providing updates and additional information as needed.
  • Update relevant stakeholders, including fleet managers and dispatchers, on the status of breakdowns.
  • Administrative Tasks:
  • Ensure all administrative tasks related to breakdown resolution are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Verify and process paperwork, including work orders and invoices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with breakdown management systems and software.
  • Knowledge of truck components, especially tyre-related issues, is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions in emergency situations.
