Support new Product development
Aligning best POS practices with Global Consumer market
Category / Channel strategy:
- Contribute to the 5-year strategic plan, in line with annual global roadmaps, in collaboration with regions/countries
- Follow-up the annual roadmap with sales
- Visit trade shows
- Collaborate with Category Managers to analyse markets and spot opportunities
Trade support:
- Monitor RSPs and define corrective action plans when needed
- Analyse competition, performance and product offer, and make adaptations in order to ensure we win
- Help the regions in shelf planning and share global best POS execution practices
- Ensure best positioning of our products at store level
- Identify, develop and manage campaigns to grown the brand - monitor and provide full campaign reports
- Identify, manage and negotiate brand exposure in shopping malls, public events, etc
POS:
- Make recommendations on what type of POS is required, assist in developing and sourcing material - work within the budget and category needs
Product development:
- Feed the NPD process with news, ideas and ensure a well filled pipeline
Sales team support:
- Provide input to the sales team to ensure the successful implementation of brand plans, product launches, packaging changes, and other marketing initiatives
- Perform store visits to pick up information on private brands, competitors, market trends, POS ideas etc and feedback to the team
Digital / social media
- Websites: Working with the global digital team and Category Managers, manage all aspects of our websites including the input of new information
- Collaborate with customers to get brands mentioned on websites and social pages - reciprocate where possible
- Collaborate with customers to ensure images and product information is correct, provide SEO copy to customers to promote products
- Collaborate with external social media agency and Category Managers to ensure a great user experience on all online platforms, ie Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube etc
- Work with Category & Sales Managers to build content such as videos, conversation plans and written content
Requirements skills experience
- Degree in Marketing, Business administration or a related field
- 5-year strategic Category / Channel plan
- Annual Roll Out plan
- Turnover and GP/ MVC performance of the Category
- Global Category / channel Marketing Budget
- Demonstrated experience in scoping and conducting quantitative and qualitative market studies
- Comfortable with figures and analysis
- Awareness of key trends, customers, competitors in DIY/Consumer and adjacent markets (Construction, Retail etc.)
