Job Description


Our client in the IT industry is currently looking for a Branch Manager/National Technical Manager, in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly GP Targets:
  • Manage a group of individuals and resources made available to you which will enable the division to achieve and grow from month to month.
  • Complete maintenance calls or job cards:
  • Service level tracking and job card completion. Daily reporting on open jobs with all staff. Updating of information on Ability and or Maximiser by technicians. Monthly reporting on individual staff to branch manager and conducting of PEPs with all the organisations staff.
  • Ensure quality standards are achieved :
  • Each printer repaired must be repaired in accordance with the company policy i.e. replacement of certain parts and standard assembly procedures.
  • Spares procurement:
  • Oversee the ordering of spares are at the best prices, stock holding is correctly managed, and backorders are minimised.
  • Helpdesk:
  • Ensure the ad hoc and contracts job lagging staff are well trained and have all the required tools and knowledge to assist customers calling in to affectively problem solve, diagnose and log calls in the best possible way.
  • Refurbishing and 2nd hand spares:
  • Refurbishing certain parts such as sub-assemblies, fusers etc.
  • Build a catalogued inventory of 2nd hand spares.
  • Company image:
  • You will be required to adhere to the company dress code and reflect the image of the company. Ensure your staff portray this image.
  • Customer relationships:
  • It is imperative that you build good customer relationships. This is done by following up on service calls, complaints and/or queries.
  • Workshop cleanliness:
  • The workshop must always be clean.
  • Policies & Procedures:
  • Uphold and maintain all company procedures.
  • Ensure that these are followed by all staff in the department.
  • Tools and accessories:
  • Ensure that all required tools are available for technicians to complete their jobs professionally and efficiently.
  • Report to management where necessary to procure additional tools. Ensure that all tools and accessories are maintained, including company cell phones, vehicles and on-site tool bags.
  • Inventory:
  • Ensure the correct level of common shares are kept improving customer service, maintaining 100% stock accuracy (According to agreed stock level parameters) This includes test cartridges and TC swop out stock.
  • Training:
  • Ensure staff are adequately trained and knowledge of new technologies and machines maintained through OEM websites and other resources, building a team of CERTIFIED staff.
  • Conduct regular training sessions with all staff to share this information and skills.
  • Sharing of information:
  • Regular meetings with staff and other division managers to ensure consistent communication between departments.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings to share information and respond to possible issues.
Requirements:
  • 5 years related work experience with a minimum of 2 years being supervisory.
  • ASP Qualification an advantage.
  • Proven experience in printer repairs and servicing of HP, Lexmark, Canon and Epson branded products.
  • Preference will be given to certified qualifications and tertiary technical qualifications.
  • Must be a team player and capable of working independently.
  • VALID drivers licence Free From Endorsements.
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing of printers.
  • Experience related to HP, Lexmark, Epson and Canon product range imperative.
  • Good communication skills with a technical capability.
  • Excellent communication if both English and Afrikaans.
Remuneration:
  • Up to R45 000 per month.
