Job Description


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Management / leadership experience essential (min. 5 years), coupled with a proven track record of successfully managing a retail team (automotive industry preferred).
  • Minimum Matric /Retail Certificate.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities: Stock
  • Manage stock availability in totality.
  • Ensure accurate pricing.
  • Manage variances, stock adjustments, stock counts.
Finances
  • Manage Debtors and Creditors in conjunction with the clients Support Team.
Sales
  • Set and achieve sales targets.
  • Encourage impulse purchases and cross selling.
  • Drive promotions.
  • Ensure that the store offering is consistent with the catchment area.
GP, OPEX & People Management
  • Manage margin, and monitor GP targets.
  • Manage OPEX.
  • All aspects of staff management.
  • Customer relations.

Position overview:
  • To manage a retail / wholesale store.
  • To monitor and review Sales, Stock, Finance, Shrinkage and Cost and manage same effectively.
  • To ensure compliance in terms of Marketing, Operating standards and other procedures in the store.
  • To safeguard the assets of the company at all times.
The store will be managed effectively and according to guidelines and procedures set, resulting in growth of the business and achievement of business targets.
