Role: Bookkeeper
Priority Location: South Africa
Working Hours: 9AM - 5PM (GMT) Mon - Fri
Salary Range: $1700 - $2500 USD per month (The final offer is at the client's discretion and depends on the candidate's interview result, skills, and experience.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple dental clients.
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and daily bank reconciliations in Xero.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and cash-flow updates.
• Reconcile payroll journals submitted by UK payroll providers.
• Communicate proactively with clients regarding queries, missing documentation, and financial updates.
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and best practices.
• Support end-of-year processes and work closely with UK accountants.

Qualifications:
Required

• Based in South Africa with reliable internet connection.
• Proven experience using Xero (certification preferred).
• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably for UK clients.
• Strong understanding of UK bookkeeping processes, VAT, and reporting timelines.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work fully remotely and during UK business hours.
• A friendly person who is comfortable speaking to clients when necessary and is able to build and maintain a good rapport with them.

Preferred

• Experience working with dental practices or other healthcare clients is an advantage.
