who can take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks for a portfolio of UK clients.
You'll be working within Xero and QuickBooks Online, using Dext and other automation tools to manage the bookkeeping process from source documents through to reconciliations and VAT preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Process and post purchase invoices via
Dext
accurately and promptly
Perform
bank reconciliations
in
Xero
and
QuickBooks Online
Reconcile
clearing and suspense accounts
monthly (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, Amazon, Shopify)
Post and reconcile
payroll journals
and related PAYE/NIC accounts
Assist with
VAT reconciliation
and preparation for UK submissions
Communicate effectively with UK Pod Leaders to flag queries or anomalies
Support the month-end process and ensure all ledgers are fully reconciled
Requirements
3+ years' experience
in accounting practice bookkeeping
Experience of Xero
Experience using
Dext (Receipt Bank)
or similar
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client files
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Reliable home internet and ability to work UK hours (10am - 6pm SA time)
Desirable
Experience working with UK clients (mandatory)
Excellent working knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks Online
Solid understanding of clearing account reconciliations and VAT principles
Salary:
R28,000-R32,000/month
