Bookkeeper

Job Description
A vacancy has arisen for a Bookkeeper in the Finance Team. The incumbent will be based in Port Elizabeth, reporting directly to the Assistant Controller.
Key Result Areas
- Process creditor invoices and payment runs on SAP
- Balance usages and process consignment stock invoice
- Process all cashbook transactions and reconcile bank account daily
- Process overseas payments weekly on SAP
- Maintain all customer sales price contract information on SAP quarterly and ad hoc as required
- Process general ledger journals and intercompany transactions
- Ensure adherence to documented quality management system procedures
- Attend and respond to external audit queries
- Involvement in the annual stock take process
- Minimum 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a bookkeeping or accounting functional area
- Good understanding of financial accounting principles as relates to the processing of transactions required in this role
- Experience with banking transactions and internet banking an advantage
- Experience with processing computerized transactions on an ERP system
- Highly organised and methodical individual
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and deliver results in the face of competing priorities
- Attention to detail
- Minimum: Matric
- Tertiary education in finance area would be an advantage
- Moderate level of computer literacy (Excel & ERP systems; SAP experience an advantage)
