Bookkeeper - Property Sector

Salary: R25 000 per month (negotiable depending on experience)A well-established property management company is seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial recordkeeping and ensure the smooth functioning of its accounting processes. This is a hands-on role requiring accuracy, initiative, and a solid understanding of bookkeeping best practices within a dynamic business environment.Minimum Requirements:Diploma or certificate in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or a related fieldAt least 4 years of experience in a bookkeeping role, preferably in the property or real estate industryProficiency in Xero (or similar accounting software)Strong understanding of general accounting principles and SARS complianceExperience in bank reconciliations, supplier recons, VAT submissions, and monthly reportingHigh level of accuracy, with excellent attention to detailAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesGood communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindsetKey Responsibilities:Maintain accurate financial records and perform regular reconciliations (bank, supplier, debtor)Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and paymentsPrepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax regulationsAssist with cash flow tracking and monthly financial reportingSupport payroll input and leave trackingMonitor accounts payable and receivablePrepare documentation for audits and liaise with external accountants where requiredContribute to the implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls
