Job Description

Are you a meticulous Bookkeeper with a knack for numbers and a flair for fleet coordination?
My client is looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Bookkeeper to join their finance team.
This role goes beyond the traditional scope of bookkeeping, combining financial accuracy with operational oversight of fleet-related activities.
This role is based in Kempton Park, Johannesburg East.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform full double-entry bookkeeping and reconciliations up to trial balance
Capture and reconcile debtors and creditors accurately and timeously
Maintain and reconcile payment records, including load-related payments
Manage and track fleet information, including acquisitions, de-fleeting, insurance, and repair records
Oversee fuel consumption and reconcile petrol card and diesel depot usage
Ensure accurate reporting on fleet performance and operational expenses

Requirements:

Completed Degree in Accounting.
5 years Proven experience in bookkeeping and general ledger management
Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
Experience with fleet or asset tracking is advantageous
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
