Job Description

We are seeking an experienced (senior) Bookkeeper with 5 years experience.

You will report to the Financal Manager

Experience with Quickbooks online is an added bonus

RESPONSABILITIES

• Maintaining financial records from source documents to Trail Balance of company and subsidiaries
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Processing of purchase invoices, credit card expenses and expense claims
• Recording and capturing into QuickBooks of all transactions
• Reconcile accounts payable accounts, control accounts
• Reconile accounts - including but not limited to Bank, PAYE, VAT, Inter-company loans, director's loan accounts, debtors, creditors, fixed assets ect
• Analyse accounts and prepare variance analysis
• Maintain cash books and reconcile bank accounts daily
• Assist the Group FM to prepare monthly management accounts, to prepare company accounts and to prepare annual budgets
• Assist Group FM with year-end audit and preparation of statutory accounts
• Assist with year-end audit requests
• VAT - Preparation of monthly VAT returns
• Prepare and submit monthly PAYE returns, submit 6 monthly EP501 returns on Easyfile
• Prepare and submit UIF monthly returns

• Matric required
• Financial certificates are an added bonus
• Sound knowledge of QuickBooks online
• Excellent computer literacy
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, including particular proficiency in using Excel
• SARD EFiling capable
• Understanding of accounting processes, transactions and standards
• Confidentiality is crucial
• Self-starter
• In-office position with somewhat flexible hours
