Job Summary
Position: Bookkeeper - 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Centurion

Remuneration: R25,000 Gross Salary
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established brand in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector for a Bookkeeper on a 3-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate must be able to hit the ground running, handling high-volume transactions across multiple entities in a fast-paced and pressurized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Full bookkeeping function for 8-10 stores
Process cash sales (cash, card, Mr D, Uber Eats, online platforms)
Supplier invoice capturing and processing of payments
Debtor invoicing and payment allocations
Cashbook and control account reconciliations
Daily expense capturing and journal entries
VAT calculations and eFiling (including printing VAT201 and loading payment)
Loading payments directly on the bank
Admin duties related to store setup and financial filing
Year-end audit file preparation
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' bookkeeping experience to trial balance
Pastel experience (preferably Evolution or Partner)
Comfortable with managing books for multiple companies or stores
Strong VAT knowledge and hands-on eFiling experience
Experience in banking processes, including loading of payments
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Must have own transport and live within 25km of Centurion
Ability to thrive under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
