Job Description

We are a Property Management Company in Burgundy Estate. We have a position available for a Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will manage the financial profile of the business and must have experience managing a group of intercompanies and financial clerks.

Core Duties & Responsibilities




Transaction Recording:

Accurately
record all financial transactions, including debits and credits, into the
general ledger and accounting software.

Accounts
Payable:

Manage
supplier invoices, process payments, and track company expenses to ensure
timely and accurate payment.

Accounts
Receivable:

Generate
and send invoices to clients, track payments, and follow up on outstanding
invoices.

Bank
Reconciliations:

Reconcile
bank statements with financial records to ensure accuracy and identify any
discrepancies.

Payroll
Management:

Calculate
and process employee salaries and manage payroll deductions.

Tax
Compliance:

Prepare and
submit tax returns, including Value Added Tax (VAT) returns, Provisional Tax,
EMP201 and EMP501, in accordance with South African regulations.

Financial
Reporting:

Generate
financial statements, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and
cash flow statements, budgets for management

Software:

Pastel,
SimplePay, Outlook, Microsoft Office, efiling, Easyfile.

Liaising
with Accountants/Auditors:

Work
closely with Accountants/Auditors to reconcile accounts, identify errors, and
assist with year-end audits.

Ensuring
Compliance:

Stay
informed about local financial laws and regulations to ensure the business
remains compliant.


Administrative Support:

Provide
administrative support, such as managing office clerks and supplies and
liaising with service providers, as needed.

Excellent
organization and time management skills are crucial for managing multiple tasks
effectively.

Numerical
& Computer Skills:

Proficiency
in using Pastel and strong numerical aptitude are fundamental for the role.


Communication Skills:

Clear and
effective communication is needed to interact with clients, vendors, and Office
clerks.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to R300000,00 per year

Work Location: In person
