Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client, a leading Financial Services Provider (FSP) in the wealth management and insurance space, is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team in Bellville. This is a permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to contribute to a high-performing finance team within a reputable organisation.
Responsibilities
Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments
Maintain relationships with suppliers and follow up on outstanding issues
Prepare cash books, bank reconciliations, and supplier reconciliations
Maintain fixed asset registers and process journal entries
Prepare routine reconciliation schedules and ensure accurate financial records
Process customer invoices, statements, and deposits; assist with collections
Report on daily cash and bank balances and coordinate payment processes
Prepare VAT, EMP, and Income Tax returns for simple entities
Assist with audit preparation and year-end procedures
Support management reporting and budgeting tasks
Participate in meetings and contribute to team tasks and projects
Requirements
Grade 12 with Accounting
Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping/Accounting (or equivalent)
5 to 7 years' bookkeeping/accounting experience
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Bookkeeper II
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in Sage X3, Excel, Outlook, and Word
High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure
Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills
Team-oriented with a methodical and focused approach
Willingness to work overtime when necessary
